That's great! Volunteering at a young age is an incredible way to grow, learn, and open yourself to the world.
Traveling to help others, discovering new cultures, and taking part in meaningful projects can be deeply inspiring experiences for young people. It helps build confidence, empathy, and a sense of responsibility — values that will stay with you for life.
Please note that TWAM missions are open to minors aged 16 and above, and only through the TWAM Volunteering program, under the supervision of our team and local coordinators.
For safety , we do not accept minors volunteering directly with our local partners.
Option 1 : Volunteer through TWAM Volunteering
In this model, TWAM serves as the full organizer, managing every aspect from start to finish.
Through TWAM Volunteering, we send you only to trusted and well-established partner organizations that we personally know and monitor.
You are guided in choosing your mission and trained by the TWAM team before departure.
Upon arrival, a local TWAM coordinator will meet you at the airport and provide support throughout your mission.
Accommodation, meals, and local transportation are included.
A tax-deductible donation of €1,680 for a two-week mission is requested, 66% of which can be deducted from your taxes.
Option 2 : Join a group and leave at given dates
Travel with a small group of volunteers on pre-scheduled missions organized by TWAM and its partners.
Everything is arranged for you — from logistics to coordination — so you can focus fully on the experience and the impact you'll make together.
Option 3 : Become a Twamer
Twaming is the art of traveling with a project in your backpack — moving from one organization to another to share your knowledge, skills, or experience.
You are free to propose a talk, a workshop, or an activity, while our local partners provide the audience and the setting.
A Twamer can, for example, play guitar in hospitals around the world to bring joy to patients, or teach first aid in schools across different countries.
In this model, you are fully autonomous and act as a catalyst for connection and learning.
No accommodation, meals, or local transportation are included.
